The Course provides high skills in interlingual and intercultural communication by developing in students the full mastery of translation and consecutive interpretation techniques. It also develops skills aimed at the transposition and dissemination of audiovisual, cultural and sensory products, to which it adds in-depth knowledge of communication dynamics and the analytical tools of computational linguistics.
It also provides legal and economic knowledge, essential for understanding the contexts of international cooperation, and advanced computer skills. The course includes in-depth opportunities in the areas of digital preservation, terminology and terminography, literary languages and web and social media languages, and the semiology of film language.
Internships involve specialized language activities and result in most cases in actual placement in the world of work.
Acquisition of advanced language skills and a deep understanding of cultural dynamics, which are key aspects of operating successfully in international and multilingual contexts.

LM 38 graduates will have mastered the translation strategies and techniques of negotiation and consecutive interpreting and thus the ability to manage interlingual and intercultural communication in its most diverse areas of application. They will also possess skills in the translation of audiovisual and multimedia materials, thus being able to work as translators and interpreters within companies, institutions, and cultural organizations that provide translation services for film and television, and a full awareness of the most effective communication dynamics and strategies for operating in international cooperation. They will in fact have high mastery of their languages of study, specialized political, legal and economic languages and computer tools , as well as the ability to interface with the cultural differences of those involved in communicative processes. They will thus be able to hold positions of high responsibility in the transnational communication of international institutions and bodies.
