The Master's Degree Course in Primary Education, a single 5-year course, aims to provide a solid professional preparation for future teachers of Nursery School and Primary School and makes it possible to obtain a qualification for teaching in both school orders. The course guarantees a broad and ductile basic training in the disciplines to be taught (the linguistic-literary, historical-social, scientific-mathematical and hygienic-sanitary fields) and to teach (the pedagogical-didactic and psycho-sociological fields).
Through training activities in the classroom (lectures and laboratories) and authentic experience in real classroom contexts (internships), the students acquire skills for didactic planning in a dynamic connection between theory and practice and develop a specialised and flexible profile, capable of managing complex educational situations due to a constantly changing educational landscape and of operating in a systemic perspective with the territory.
- The course offers a professional preparation built on a dynamic connection between research and teaching practice, through laboratories (one for each course) and internships, implemented thanks to agreements with schools in the area;
- the degree offers excellent opportunities to enter the job market: 93% of graduates are working one year after graduation, a percentage that rises to 97% five years after graduation (source: Almalaurea 2022)
- Students are monitored and guided throughout their studies thanks to multiple figures (tutors in charge of internships, laboratories, e-learning, senior tutors) who manage the reception and information network supporting teaching (94% of students say they are satisfied with the degree course, source: Almalaurea 2022)
- The course succeeds in combining a complex structure with an efficient and functional organisation and with a constant focus on the individual in an atmosphere of openness and availability, which allows a direct relationship with the teaching staff (94% of students are satisfied with their relations with lecturers, source: Almalaurea 2022)
- The course offers the possibility of opting for enrolment with additional services in e-learning mode, which facilitates those who work and/or are away from home
