The Degree Program in Economics and Management focuses on the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, addressing topics such as planning, management control, internationalization, innovation, marketing, and bank-business relationships. Graduates acquire:
- basic knowledge of economics and business management;
- legal knowledge applicable to private and public companies;
- methods and techniques of financial and actuarial mathematics, and statistics;
- the ability to apply economic and financial knowledge in practice.
- There are opportunities for internships in companies and organizations, both national and international.
The program offers three curricula:
Banking and Finance: Management of financial intermediaries, financial markets, risk management, financial instruments, and legal regulation.
Business Economics: Programming, control, and management of manufacturing and service companies, economic-financial analysis, marketing, logistics, innovation, and legal aspects of commercial and labor arrangements.
Economics and International Trade: Applied economics, business economics, and marketing for internationalization, analysis of international real and financial markets, and legal aspects of international trade.
The three-year economics graduate is among the most sought-after positions in the job market, both in private and public companies.
The course combines the necessary knowledge for a solid basic participation and a preliminary specialisation.
The graduate will combine classical knowledge of economics and the tools of digitalisation provided by new technologies to follow business management processes in dynamic, fast-changing markets, in international and multicultural contexts.
The course allows for the choice of a finance-oriented pathway, or a pathway oriented towards business management and control, or a pathway aimed at internationalisation.
The course is linked to the local area to enable students/graduates to get closer (also by means of internships) to the job market, in particular to banks and financial companies, private and public production companies, and economic entities.
The holder of a bachelor's degree in Economics is among the most sought-after professionals in the job market (both private and public sectors). They can also work as an Accounting Expert (after passing a state examination) and as an Export Manager. In general, they can engage in promotional and financial consulting activities, work in industrial, commercial, service, and financial companies, banks, credit systems, insurance companies, securities firms, and asset management companies, as well as auditing and consulting firms. Additionally, they can practice as a freelance accounting expert, work in public administration, in the foreign branches of Italian companies, and in the Italian branches of foreign companies, as well as in export consulting firms.
