Curricular Requirements for Admission

The Curriculum in International Finance and Economics (IFE) of the Master's degree course in Finance and Marktets (Finanza e Mercati)  LM16 offers a rigorous education in an international and multi-cultural environment. The Master's Degree Course IFE aims at developing advanced theoretical and practical competencies that will allow graduate students to work in a wide range of international contexts.

Students who want to apply for the IFE course and hold an educational qualification issued by a non-Italian High School or University are required to apply for a pre-evaluation through the dedicated online application platform (Dream Apply).

An academic committee will evaluate your qualifications and, in case of positive verdict, you will receive by e-mail a pre-admission letter in order to carry on the pre-enrollment procedure at the Italian Consulate in your country.

Admission to the master's degree program in Finanza e Mercati (Finance and Markets), curriculum International Finance and Economics (IFE) is subject to the possession of a 1st cycle degree or equivalent bachelor achieved in legally recognized institutions, in Italy or abroad.The academic curriculum should be coherent with the learning objectives of the International Finance and Economics course. You are qualified for admission to the Master’s degree in IFE if, during the undergraduate degree program, you have obtained a  minimum of 36 credits acquired in the scientific-disciplinary sectors and in compliance with the minimum constraints indicated below:

▪ 6 credits (ECTS): BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
▪ 6 credits (ECTS): ECONOMICS
▪ 6 credits (ECTS): LAW
▪ 6 credits (ECTS): MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS

Moreover, all applicants aiming at enrolling to the IFE master’s degree program have to demonstrate their knowledge of English language (B2 level of the CEFR):

  • by international language certificate - B2 level of the CEFR , or
  • be English native speakers, or
  • be graduated in Bachelor’s degrees whose courses are taught in English, submitting the institutions' confirmations.
  • Without the possession of the curricular requirements, the admission to the Master's degree course LM-16 is subject - on the basis of the didactic evaluation carried out by the Pre-Admission Committee - to the acquisition of the CFU indicated by the same Committee in one or more single preparatory courses of the educational offer indicated below. 

    INTERVIEW

    Students in possession of the curricular requirements who graduated (bachelor’s degree) with a mark higher than 95/110 (or a proportionally corresponding evaluation in the case of equivalent qualifications) are understood to have an adequate level of personal preparation, otherwise are invited to sustain an orientation interview.

    *In the academic year 2025-2026, orientation interviews onine, through Microsoft Teams, will be held on the following dates, with the following professors:

    . 30 September 2025, with professor Elisabetta Michetti;

    · 28 October 2025, with professor Nicoletta Marinelli;

    · 25 November 2025, with professor Barbara Fidanza;

    · 20 January 2026, with professor Domenica Tropeano;

    · 23 February 2026, with professor Emanuela Giacomini;

    · 20 April 2026, with professor Elisabetta Michetti;

    Candidates will receive communication to join the online interview by the Student Secreteriat.

    SINGLE PREPARATORY COURSES - only for students with specific subject areas to cover

    Students with specific subject areas to cover need to pass the exams of single preparatory courses to achieve the curricular requirements which are necessary to access the two-year Master’s degree programme in Finance and Markets, curriculum International Finance and Economics. In order to be prepared for the exams, readings to be made in order to meet the admission requirements and with reference to one or more of the following subject areas Business management, Economics, Law, Mathematics and Statistics are indicated below:

    How do I register for the single preparatory courses indicated by the Academic Committee?

    To search for exam dates for single preparatory courses for LM-16 Master's degree program admission, please use the course code L28R for filtering on the Exam Dates List

    The admission to the Master's degree course will be allowed only after the candidate has passed any single preparatory courses assigned by the Commission.
