How to enrol

Curricular Requirements for Admission

Admission to the master's degree program in Finanza e Mercati (Finance and Markets), curriculum International Finance and Economics (IFE) is subject to the possession of a 1st cycle degree or equivalent bachelor achieved in legally recognized institutions, in Italy or abroad.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the Degree Programmes of the classes L-18 o L-33 (ex D.M. 270/2004);
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the Degree Programmes of the classes 17 o 28 (ex D.M. 509/1999);
  • Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (ante D.M 509/1999).

The academic curriculum should be coherent with the learning objectives of the International Finance and Economics course. You are qualified for admission to the Master’s degree in IFE if, during the undergraduate degree program, you have obtained a minimum of 36 credits acquired in the scientific-disciplinary sectors and in compliance with the minimum constraints indicated below:

▪ 6 credits (ECTS): business management (SECS-P/07, SECS-P/08, SECS-P/09, SECS-P/11)

▪ 6 credits (ECTS): economics (SECS-P/01, SECS-P/02, SECS-P/03, SECS-P/06);

▪ 6 credits (ECTS): law  (IUS/01, IUS/04, IUS/05, IUS/09);

▪ 6 credits (ECTS): mathematics and statistics(SECS-S/01, SECS-S/03, SECS-S/06, MAT/01, MAT/05, MAT/06, MAT/09, INF/01, ING-INF/05, ING-IND/35).

Moreover, all applicants aiming at enrolling to the IFE master’s degree program have to demonstrate their knowledge of English language (B2 level of the CEFR):

- by international language certificate - B2 level of the CEFR , or

- be English native speakers, or

- be graduated in Bachelor’s degrees whose courses are taught in English, submitting the institutions' confirmations


NOTE: being English native speakers, or being graduated in Bachelor’s degrees whose courses are taught in English,  you don’t need to submit certifications.

Students in possession of the curricular requirements who graduated (bachelor’s degree) with a mark higher than 95/110 (or a proportionally corresponding evaluation in the case of equivalent qualifications) are understood to have an adequate level of personal preparation, otherwise are invited to sustain an orientation interview.

*In the academic year 2025-2026, orientation interviews will be held on the following dates, with the following teachers:

· 28 October 2025, con la prof.ssa Nicoletta Marinelli;

· 25 November 2025, con la prof.ssa Barbara Fidanza;

· 20 February 2026, con la prof.ssa Domenica Tropeano;

· 23 February 2026, con la prof.ssa Emanuela Giacomini;

· 20 April 2026, con la prof.ssa Elisabetta Michetti;

In case of gap in one or more areas, the pre-admission/teaching committee will inform students by email in duly time.

Once the evaluation is completed, you may be notified, if applicable, the single preparatory course(s) for which you may register and take the relative exam, and any other information useful for enrolling in the master's degree programme.


To fill in the gap(s), students must pass the indicated exam(s) with the related professor upon their arrival in Macerata.

An adequate knowledge of basic topics in the above-mentioned areas represents an advantage to study proficiently at the course "International Finance and Economics IFE".
