
ERUA Travelling Seminar – Rethinking Politics and Democracy in the Age of AI and Geopolitical Shifts
From 23 to 26 September 2025, the University of Macerata, Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations, will host the ERUA Travelling Seminar – Rethinking Politics and Democracy in the Age of AI co-organised by Professor Simona Epasto together with Prof. Algis Krupavičius (Mykolas Romeris University).
Professor Simona Epasto will open the seminar with the lecture and seminar entitled:
“Rethinking Politics and Democracy in the Age of AI and Geopolitical Shifts”
while, Prof. Algis Krupavičius will deliver the open lecture:
“AI and Democracy: Exploring the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Democratic Systems”
Over the course of four days, students and faculty from Mykolas Romeris University and UniMC will engage in discussions, seminars, and roundtables on crucial topics such as democracy, artificial intelligence, human rights, and geopolitical transformations.
This event represents an important opportunity to strengthen academic cooperation within the – European Reform University Alliance and to contribute to the debate on what it means to govern in a rapidly changing world.
