How to Enroll
Admission requirements
- A high school diploma obtained after at least 12 years of schooling; if the qualification is issued after a period lower than 12, please visit this webpage for further details.
- A proficiency level in English of at least a B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Proficiency is verified:
- by means of a certificate, issued by a recognised institution
or
- by successfully passing a test, organised by theUniversity of Macerata Language Center (CLA): the calendar of the tests (English language, level B2), along with the instructions for booking the test, is available on the following website: http://cla.unimc.it/it/servizi. The students who pass the test are waived from submitting the B2-level certification.
Every year, the University of Macerata Language Center organises language courses for the English language at level B2, as a preparation for the test. For further information, please contact the University of Macerata Language Center: http://cla.unimc.it/it/il-centro/orari-spostamenti.
In the event students fail the proficiency test, they can, in any case, enrol in the IECoLS LLB, with the obligation to submit a certificate of proficiency in English of at least a B2 level by the end of the first year. Until the certification is submitted, or the test passed, the student is not permitted to take exams for modules offered for the second year of the IECoLS LLB Programme and onwards.
Entry knowledge verification through TOLC
Starting from a.y. 2023/2024, all students wishing to enroll in the three-year bachelor’s or single-cycle master's degree programs offered by the University of Macerata must take the TOLCs: TOLC is the acronym for CISIA OnLine Test. With the TOLC, entry knowledge is verified before enrolment. The set of abilities subject to verification depend on the chosen study program.
For the LLB IECoLS, the English TOLC-E is adopted.
At the University of Macerata, the TOLC is not considered as a selection test, since all our bachelor’s degree programs and the single-cycle master’s degree program in “Law” are free-access. If the result obtained in the TOLC is lower than certain minimum thresholds, it is possible to enrol, but an Additional Learning Requirement(so called OFA) will be assigned.
